Members of the Lincoln Center Improvement Committee (LCIC) met at the city park Sunday morning, June 30, to install the last of four outdoor musical instruments planned for a project that began in 2022.

The estimate for all four pieces was $26,000. Grants from Post Rock Community Foundation and the WEB fund helped with the cost, along with generous donations from the Bank of Tescott, Citizens State Bank, private donations and several fundraising events including the Post Rock Festival Duck Races, Penny Jars, a Pancake Dinner, a Pasta Dinner, a Baked Potato Bar, and the BAK Pasta Bake Dinner.

The Swirl Chimes were the first to be installed November 15, 2022, followed by the Yantzee Metallophone which was installed January 20, 2023. Later that year the Imparimba was installed. The Tuned Drums were most recently installed on June 30, 2024.

The committee is already working on their next project.

The five-piece set was set into a concrete base by committee members and volunteers Mike Feldkamp, Cam Stultz and Perry Zachgo. LCIC members include Lisa Feldkamp, Carly Errebo, Shelby Errebo, Vicky Hook, Chris Gerbitz, Breanna Brown, Jyll Phillips and Marcia Kraft.
