Lebien named Firefighter of the Year

Austin Lebien was named Firefighter of the Year at the 5th annual awards banquet held February 18. Lebien responded to 47 of the 60 runs, meetings and training sessions throughout 2022.

Austin Lebien was named Firefighter of the Year at the 5th annual awards banquet held February 18. Lebien responded to 47 of the 60 runs, meetings and training sessions throughout 2022.

Rick Lund retired after 22 years as a Lincoln volunteer firefighter. His two decades of experience and knowledge will be missed.

Michel O’Hare, Rural 1 Fire Chief for 14 years has taken a step back from leadership, but will continue to work with the fire department. O’Hare was recognized for his service at the banquet.

Riggs Walter, Ben Brock, Colton Panzer, Austin Biggs and Cole Zachgo are currently taking the Firefight 1 class.

Officers of the city and rural departments include Rural Assistant Chief Greg Babcock, Rural Captain Colton Panzer, Fire Chief Jarrod Heinze, City Captain T.J. Jonsson and City Asst Chief Jeff Lyne.
