The Hungry Hunter is back, welcomed with open arms by the community. It didn’t take long for the word to get out that Bob was back behind the grill.
When it comes to dining options, it is often feast or famine in our area. The cost of providing a good meal at a reasonable price is more complicated than it may sound. The ‘adage good help is hard to find’ is often too close to the truth in an industry that relies on minimum wage staffing and tips. Inflation has taken a toll on restaurants, still recovering from COVID restrictions. Restaurants, diners and cafes come and go, but Lincoln has had an almost constant in the Hungry Hunter.
Bob Berthleson, the man behind the food, has tried to retire from the restaurant business in the past to pursue other interests, but when Bob sees a need in the community, he does what he can to help. Especially when he does it so well.
