Lincoln Art Center Exhibit

Lincoln . “Meditations on Nature: Color and Form” The Lincoln Art Center will feature an exhibit of selected works from Amanda Wagner, Bennington, Jennifer Weigel, McPherson, and Kristen Luber, of Topeka Jauary 13 - February 25th. The opening reception will be held at the Lincoln Art Center on Friday January 13 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Lincoln . “Meditations on Nature: Color and Form” The Lincoln Art Center will feature an exhibit of selected works from Amanda Wagner, Bennington, Jennifer Weigel, McPherson, and Kristen Luber, of Topeka Jauary 13 - February 25th. The opening reception will be held at the Lincoln Art Center on Friday January 13 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Wagner studied Art History at Baker University and has degree in Visual Arts from Kansas Wesleyan in Salina, Kansas. Her work is plant based ink to paper. Dyes she makes from Marigolds, Cosmos, Hopi Sunflowers and local leaves and plants.

Weigel’s work has been exhibited in all 50 states and has won numerous awards. Her jewelry is a form of personal expression, each piece is unique and individual as we are, crafted from semi-precious stones, shell, bone, metal and more.

Luber has had group shows in Stillwater, Oklahoma, Chicago to Pratt, and Kansas City. Her work has been shown in “Visions of the Flint Hills” and has won numerous awards. Her work is described as Fabric Landscapes. She uses flowers and leafs to create her sculpture. She says if she can put a needle and thread in the fabric she can turn it into a landscape.

The installation will be in conjunction with an artist talk at 6:30 and time for discussion with the artists. This exhibit is free and open to the public, refreshments will be served.
