North Central KS - The NCK Raptors Mountain Bike Team is preparing for their third season with the first practice planned for Sunday, January 15, 2-4 p.m. at Palen Family Farms, east of Tipton, KS. The NCK Raptors team is open to boys and girls 6th to 12th grade from area schools and homeschool students in North Central Kansas, and is in the third year of the Interscholastic Kansas Cycling League.
Head Coach, John Mc-Clure, commented, “We’re excited for our third season for the NCK Raptors and getting more kids on bikes. We had an amazing second year with our team doubling in student athletes and we’re looking forward to growing our team once again!”
The NCK Raptors Mountain Bike Team, founded in 2020, is an official club in North Central Kansas and plans to hold practices starting in January for the spring event season. The team will compete in the Interscholastic Kansas Cycling League which provides programs to help students achieve both competitive and non-competitive crosscountry mountain biking goals and comprises the easiest route for youth to get involved in the life-long sport of cycling.
