Remaining June programs include designing your own Chia Pets at the Library (come and go) from 10-1 and 2-6 on Thurs., June 15; Fort Night with hotdogs from 5:30 to 7:30 Thurs., June 22 and on Thurs., June 29 from 10:30 to 11:30 see the Insect Olympics by K-State Extension! No registration is necessary for June Programs which are geared toward ages 5-12, though all ages are welcome. All June Programs are held at the library.

No registration is required for Storytime Adventures, which are geared toward younger children, ages 2-7, however, again, all ages are welcome. Storytimes start at 10:30 on Tuesdays at the City Park on June 20 and the east hangar at the airport on June 27. In July, Storytimes will be held at the Sheriff ’s office, the Fire Station, and again at the library.

Classes for ages 8+ begin in July on Thursday afternoons 2:30 – 3:30. In these classes participants learn to make bird feeders, lava lamps, tie-dye headbands and a macrame plant holder. Registration is required.

Every Wednesday in June and July is Retro TV Wednesday. Visit the library and enjoy some classic television shows from the 60s and 70s in the library’s black light room.

Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by an adult or caregiver over age 14 to all Library programs.

For grown-ups, the Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Chamber After Hours event sponsored by The Friends of the Lincoln Carnegie Library. See all that is new and/or improved at the Lincoln Carnegie Library at this event where a wine and cheese sampling will be offered. The event is Wednesday, June 21, 5 pm – 6:30 pm at the Lincoln Carnegie Library.
