Attention shoppers! There is a new store in town, and you might want to check this out.
Heather Steen of Lincoln has opened LouMae & Ash in the building on the west end of Lincoln Avenue, directly across from the East Ball Field. Owned by Leigh Geyer, the building was most recently home to Soaring Arrow. Prior to that, the building was used for storage by a previous owner, and a laundromat before that.
LouMae & Ash carries insulated individualized tumblers with lids with an array of designs from which to choose. They also offer stock and custom tee shirts. Steen carries a Mommy & Me line boasting matching Mommy/daughter articles, and other baby items.
Steen had a soft opening on July 29, which pleased the new business-owner.
“The pre-opening party was a success and made me so happy!” Steen said after the event.
The “official” grand opening is set for August 19, which will have a bit of a carnival flair.
“I’m doing a huge grand opening,” Steen said. “There will be a petting zoo, face painting, balloon animals, hotdogs, popcorn, sno-cones and giveaways.”
This grand opening event is free and open to all.
