Supporting the Leopards

Lincoln PTCO holds first Fall Sports Kickoff Event

Lincoln’s Parent-Teacher- Community Organization welcomes Lincoln’s fall sports programs to the 2023-24 season. In order to show support for our local team, several programs or events are in the works.

Mark your calendar for Friday, August 18, and be at Mettner Field at 5:30 p.m. for the first ever Fall Sports Kickoff! The PTCO has found a way to raise funds for the athletic program while hosting a fun event for the whole community.

Facepainting will begin at 5:30 p.m. for all ages. The cost is $2.00 per face, and proceeds will go to the Lincoln Art Department.

Snow cones and cotton candy will be available for those with a sweet tooth. Sponsored by Citizens State Bank & Trust, each treat can be yours for only $3.00 each. All proceeds will benefit the HS volleyball team. The Bank of Tescott will make Walking Tacos available starting around 6:00 pm. The suggested donation is $5.00, with a portion of the proceeds going to Leopard Football, Leopard Cross Country and the cheer teams.

Team introductions will happen at 7:00 p.m., followed by a City-wide Pep Rally. Each student will receive a spirit item. Also available for pre-order at the Pep Rally are custom water “bottles” by LouMae & Ash.

The custom water bottles are available in two sizes. The 12 oz. bottle is $20; the 20 oz. bottle is $25. Double insulated leakproof. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the USD 298 Music Department.

Another way to help is through Lincoln High School Football’s first annual Adopt-A-Player program! This sponsorship will support an individual football player all season. Players will receive a team shirt, meals, snacks and team bonding experiences. Sponsors will also receive a team shirt, an autographed photo of your sponsored player and will be recognized at a home game. Contact Coach Hamel at Lincoln High School if interested.
