Advance directives – more important than you might think
No one wants to think about dying. Some find it frightening. Some find the thought of not being with family and friends very sad. Some just want to believe they will live forever. 08/23/2023 04:00

Kyne House Museum hosts meet and greet
The Meet and Greet at the Kyne House Museum was a hit Saturday evening for everyone who stopped by the museum to meet the board and new director Dana Walters. Walters and the board have been working hard to create events the community – even those who are not history buffs – would enjoy. Above, Don Wagner entertained visitors throughout the evening. Ice cream was served at no charge. (Photo courtesy of Dana Walters) 08/16/2023 04:00

Pahls girls twirlin across
Most girls at about 11 or 12 get the “cheerleading” bug. They want to cheer so badly they practice everywhere they can. Not many, however, go after baton twirling with the same gusto. As we know, there are exceptions to every “rule”. 08/08/2023 23:00

The Lincoln County Historical Society (LCHS) always strives to educate the interested of the perils and dangers of the early prairie and the comedies and tragedies that played out in the history of our county. International Clown Week: August 1 - 7. National Clown Day: Saturday of International Clown Week
International Clown Week: August 1 - 7. National Clown Day: Saturday of International Clown Week
National Clown Day was created to give recognition to those funny clowns that make us laugh and smile. It is estimated that there are over 10,000 clowns in organized clown groups, and over 20,000 clowns worldwide. They all have one goal in mind, and that’s to make us happy. You can celebrate just the day, or the whole week. On this day and week, clowns around the world do what they do best…. they clown around, holding events at malls, nursing homes, schools, and educational events. In 1991, the group Clowns of America renamed it International Clown Week, recognizing that there are many clowns around the world, and this event should be a worldwide celebration. Note: This day is not intended for those scary clowns you see in horror movies. If you are afraid of clowns, you suffer from Coulrophobia. 07/25/2023 23:00
